Hi
I'd be really grateful if anyone could help with the following problem. I
tend to use the 'Select Hightlights' command which under the Edit menu. This
can be used to select highlighted text (it's a great tool for selecting and
extracting text, eg, scanned text) which can be transferred to a new document.
On my PC it is visible but on my laptop it is nowhere to be seen - I have
tried looking in the 'All Commands' section and have tried various help
searches but to no avail. I have even tried copying the toolbar from my PC to
the laptop using the templates and Add-ins. I am using Office 2003 on both
machines. I know that there is a Colletct Highlights toolbar on the Student
version of Office.
Can it be downloaded as an add in?
regards
Craig

The Student and Teachers Edition of Office is the same product as the
general release, the only differences are in price, updating and licensing.
I have never seen the command you refer to and it does not show up in the
list of all Word commands.
Perhaps it has a different name. What, exactly, does it do?
This sounds like something that would be in the WOPR add-in. (I don't know
that it is.) http://wopr.com/html/woprexplained.shtml
If so, that Add-In is available with several Que books.

Perhaps the command you're referring to is Select All in the Styles and
Formatting task pane? If so, this command is available only when "Keep track
of formatting" is checked on the Edit tab of Tools | Options.
Alternatively, you can use Find to search for specific text or text
formatted in a specific way and check the box for "Highlight [select] all
items found." This box appears only on the Find tab, not in Replace.
