I solved my problem guys: for some f....ing reason I had pdfmaker plugin
disabled in word (just after installation): I saw this from "about Microsoft
word" menù tag and I was able to activate the plugin from there!
God save the queen and LinuX save me!

You may have disabled it because it disables the ability of Word to update
normal.dot. Make sure you have the latest version from Adobe with all
patches.
