I have trouble adding the plug-in within Word to convert to PDF. I have
Windows XP, Office 2003 and Acrobat Professional. I have no problem with the
plug-in for Excel and Powerpoint, and I can see PDFMaker under the Toolbar
options for both these applications, but for some reason I get an error when
I do it for Word. Even re-installing Acrobat Professional does not help. I
get an error message "PDF files missing".
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried launching Acrobat & using Help>Detect & Repair? You may need
to have the Acro source disk at hand to complete the task.

I have tried the Detect & Repair option a couple of times. It still did not
solve the problem - got error message about missing PDFMaker files.

In the meantime, i found a suggestion from the discussion group recommending
PrimoPDF. I installed it and it works, although it cannot be launched within
Word, like the plug-ins for Excel and Powerpoint. What bugs me is that the
Word plug-in worked for almost a year and suddenly disappeared a week ago. I
wish Word did not change menu choices without asking me.

Thanks for your help.

Glad you found an interim solution, but perhaps these links will still be
