How do I disable the built-in skin in word 2007 so that Window Blinds will
skin the titlebar?

There is no way to link the Word/Office "skin" to that of Windows (VISTA, I
presume). You get the three "looks", and that's it.

If you think that Vista looks good, you are right! How ever there is more to
an application or operating system than just looking good. Vista is not that
good if you try to work professionally and need to be fast.

I use the old MacOS 8 skin. I modified it a bit to add more functions:
~ window stays always on top/bottom
~ semi-transparent window
~ send to back
~ minimize window when title or border is right-clicked
~ minimize to tray when title is double-clicked

The minimize on context-menu function I added is the fastest way to put the
window you are working with out of your way. So I wanted to use it with
Office 2007 programs.

Hi George,

I've never used Vista, so I have no idea how "good" it looks. No idea what
MacOS has to do with your question, but my answer stands, in any case: there's
no way to change the "look and feel" of what the Office UI team gives you. They
decided life was better without some of the Windows buttons we've always had,
and we have no choice - we have to live with it (or not upgrade).

If you want to ask or comment on it, I suggest you go to Jensen Harris's blog
on microsoft.com and write a "Comment".
