While customizing the tool bar in Microsoft Word (Office 2003), I
inadvertently disabled (or deleted) the Delete key function on the keyboard -
but not totally.

The Delete key will work if the cursor is placed directly to the Left of the
single letter, number or space to be deleted.  The key will NOT work if an
entire word or block of text/space is to be deleted.

This anomaly occurs ONLY while using Microsoft Word.  The Delete key works
perfectly well in every other program (Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.), so it's
not the keyboard itself that is dysfunctional.
