Is there a way to change the indentation level of lines in the document map
view ?
I keep changing the size of the document map window, since the
indentation+heading_number take up most of the space I would like it to have,
and I cannot see the heading text.
In my opinion, the numbering provides enough visual info to be able to tell
the heading level at a glimpse, the indentation just gets in the way.
BTW, same goes for the TOC and outline view, and probably the same answer.
My guess : something to do with formatting of outline levels, built in, not
modifiable :-(.
Thanx

But many people use Document Map for unnumbered headings.

Probably more than use it for numbered headings. The Doc Map was
designed with priority given to helping out people who *didn't* set
their doc up carefully, so I suspect the original poster's quest will be
fruitless.

The indents probably can't be changed, since they seem fitted to allow for
the "expand/collapse" boxes.
You could change the font size of the "Document Map" style, to still see the
text in a narrow pane.
