Hi Laura,
If you're adding Word 2007 macros to the Quick Access Toolbar through the Options Customization dialog the 216 choices are pretty
much it, although you can type in a short display name of only 2 characters, that will be what appears on mouseover of the QAT icon.
If you have your macros in a separate Word 97-2003 template on a custom toolbar created in the prior version (not added to a Word
built in toolbar) then the button you had should appear still with the toolbars/buttons appearing in the Word 2007 'Add-Ins' tab
when attach that template or include it in the Word startup folder.
=============
I used to have buttons on my toolbar in Word 97 representing my macros and
was able to just have it be a plain button with a couple of text characters
on it to help me identify which macro it was. I've just had Word 2007
installed and have finally figured out how to do a macro. But it seems that
when I put a macro button on my Quick Access Toolbar, I am forced to have one
of the little icons under the modify section. Is there anyway to just have a
plain button with a couple of letters of text of my choosing again like in
Word 97? Thanks so much.>>
