I am working in the Word 2000 environment and found it useful to save scraps
from Word docs by dragging them on to my desktop. Well since I had Word 2000
installed I can drag the items from my Word doc to my desktop all right but
when I try to open them in Word I get a whole bunch of little boxes symbols
and other code with an occasional English word or two here and there instead
of the scrap that I selected and dragged... Anyone encounter this before? It
used to work for me - is there something to reset? Please advise & Thanks!

G'day "Dave Spiteri" <dspiteri@transunion.com>,

I use a spare wordpad or text file, open it and dump inside. Then I
regularly include them as autotext / autocorrect entries in a global
template so they are accessible from INSIDE the app. Have you tried
using Wordpad to open your existing scraps?

"Dave Spiteri" <dspiteri@transunion.com> was spinning this yarn:
