My husband(83yrs) is trying to type letters from his old
amstad on wordstar. The only program on my sons computer
to open the files is wordpad or note pad.
My husband cannot use the mouse due to old age, when he
presses cntrl 'O' could it be set to automatically open
the floppy disc and look at all file types? Or is there a
way of doing it without the mouse?
similarly when he comes to save using cntrl'S' could it
automatically save them to the floppy drive in the same
format?
Thank you very much for any help, we may be old but we
are trying!

Are you asking a question about WordStar or about WordPad or Notepad? If the
latter, you need to be asking in a Windows NG. If the former, well, there
may still be some WordStar NGs around somewhere, but they won't be here on
the Microsoft news server.
