Is there a method to stop showing any shading.  I'm using Win2000.  I "field
shading" to 'when selected',  but the shading is showing up at all times
throughout the document.  I don't want to see the shading but when the
cursor stops on the field.

This is one of the Options settings that has a tendency to reset itself
behind your back. If you're seeing field shading when the fields are not
selected, then check the setting again.
