Setting Word 2000 as HTML editor in IE

I have Office 2000 installed and IE 6.
Can't get MS Word to show as even a CHOICE in
the "Programs" section of Tools, for HTML editor.
Anybody got any ideas, I've tried everything I know.

A nasty hard-hack would be to open an explorer window, selecting Tools
> Folder Options > file types > HTML > Advanced and changing the
listed program for Edit.
