How can you start with a particular folder when using the "Open" command instead of going through several steps to get to it? You can change the default folder for Word documents from the File Locations tab of Tools | Options, but this applies only to the first time you open a document; after that, Word defaults to the most recently used folder. -- Suzanne S.
