Using Word 2000 with heading styles to create Table of
Contents.  The generated TOC fields are all hyperlinked
to the text which prevents me from making any minor
changes to the TOC text.  Even though the TOC styles are
TOC1, TOC2 and TOC3, it also says Hyperlink in the Style
Dialog in the toolbar.

Press Alt+F9 to reveal the TOC field code. Delete the \h switch. Alt+F9 to
toggle back, then F9 to update. The page numbers will still be hyperlinked,
but the entire entry won't be.
