How to type cents symbol

My subject line says it all. I'm trying to make some
garage sale signs. Cannot find a symbol for "cents."
The "C" with a slash or line through it is so common in
print. How can I type one in MS Word for Windows?

Hold down the Alt key, and (on the number pad) type 0162.

Ctrl+/, c. That is, press the Ctrl key and the slash key at the same time,
release, then press c.

Try CTRL+/ then c.
