Hi everybody,

I am looking for a way to omit the numbering of header1 and header2
styles within my TOC.

The following example illustrates my problem:

Instead of:
1. Introduction
1.1. A closer look
1.2. Some more Stuff
2. Installation
2.1. etc.

I simply want this result (although STILL numbered wihtin the
document!!!):
Introduction
A closer look
Some more Stuff
Installation
etc.

Is this possible in MS Word?

Thanks in advance for a reply!
Best wishes, Stephan

You need to look into TC fields. See Word Help. Note that TC fields
are also covered (briefly) in the article by Suzanne S. Barnhill at
http://home.earthlink.net/~wordfaqs/RunInSidehead.htm.
