Numbering hangs system

Thread rating:
Martin - 27 Aug 2003 14:22 GMT
Particulars:
OS = XP SP1
Office (Word) = 2002 SP2
Affects all machines

Symptoms:
I have a document which contains a table created by Word.
The first column is where I want to start my numbering.
When I click the numbering tab the machine hangs. I can
do this on any machine.

Is there a workaround that will allow me to "number" the
first column of a table without having to type it in; or
is this a known issue. If so is there a patch.

Thanks in Advance,
Martin

If it's only this one document, then it's a problem in the
document's structure. You might try selecting the table,
then Table/Convert table to text, and then Table/Convert
text to table. If the damage is in the table, that should
take care of it.
