FWIW, I get the Mark Table of Contents Entry dialog whether I have text
selected or not. And just in case you ever need to use the word in something
important, it's "voilà," not "whaa laa."

Thanks for helping Suzanne. I take comfort in your expertise. I wonder
if I have a setting in my Word that does not allow the Mark Table of
Contents Entry to appear after typing the Alt+Shift+O keystroke when I
don't have any selected text.
Also, have you ever used the style separator? Any comments on it?

I have not used the Style Separator, but perhaps someone who has will be
able to help.
