Hi,
I keep running into problems with numbering the headings in MS-Word (2002
and 2003).
Heading 1 works fine. I select the "Heading1" and click on Modify,
Format, Numbering and select "outlined numbers". In "Customize" I see
it is set to "level 1", and linked to style "heading 1". Any subsequent
heading 1 text increases the number by 1.
The problem is subsequent headings: Heading 2 works fine with first
headning 1 item, but on next heading 1 texts it keeps the numbers as
1.xx, like this:

1. Heading one text
 1.1  heading 2 texxt
 1.2  heading 2 text

2. Heading one text
 1.3  heading 2 text

Renumbering just changes 1.3 to 1.1, and not 2.1.

When I look at heading 2 / Modify /Numbering /Cutomize, I see it set to
level 2, linked to style "Heading 2", "Restart numbering after level 1"
is checked, but even though I see "level 1" in "Preiuos level umber", I
cannot select it.

How can I set this up?
