Hi Cindy,
I liked and use your article in access newletter about a year ago.
Don't know about all the patches, Office 2k is on secretary's down at
work
She spent about 4 hours on phone w/ MS and they even sent us a new
office2k disk, But that was a year or so ago.
They didn't say it was an issue, just told us to go back to 97 or update
to the later version at that time. In fact the help desk person, I
believe, experienced the same issue. Glad we didn't go back to 97 like
they said if that is an issue there also.
Any idea where to get a list of latest updates. office computer is not
on internet so I need to download it from here at home.
to my best recollection, we have sr2.
Thanks PHil

Hi Phil,
Both Word 97 and 2000 *can* remove excess unused list templates.
Unfortunately, it isn't enough to apply the Service Packs. You have to
manually edit the Registry:
Wd97:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid237274
WD2000:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=241581
Regards,
Klaus

Thxs, anxious to try this fix. referenced 1500 figure seems rather high
but very well may be the problem.

<G>I think it was more like a couple of years ago... But I'm tickled
that someone who reads Smart Access would be posting in a Word
group!

I think word's mailmerge is a complicated shame for someone who just
wants to send single form letters using a database. That's why I looked
into going the other way sending data to a word letter from access.
