Does anyone know a way to have Word display text (or in this case, a number)
that is referenced somewhere else in the document? The referenced number is
an incremental field code and there are several items that refer back to it.
I'd like to set it up so that if the field code changes, so do the two cross
references.  I guess I'm looking for something sort of like the =cell
reference that Excel uses.

Thanks,

If you bookmark the number, then insert a cross-reference, you will be able
to update the cross-reference with F9.
