I have a section for which I'd like a numeric footer that numbers the pages
in the section.

The document is 2 pages long.  The section in question is only 1 page long.
I'd like the section footer to be '1 of 1'.  But it comes up as '1 of 2' no
matter what I seem to do.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Use

{ PAGE } of { SECTIONPAGES }

Use Ctrl+F9 to insert the field delimiters { } and Alt+F9 to toggle off
their display.

Note that the SectionPages field will return an incorrect number if you have
used an Odd Page break and Word has inserted a blank even page. Word counts
this page as part of the (from your viewpoint) one-page section.
