TOC page numbers and emailled documents

Hi there

I have encountered a situation here where it seems as if sending a Word 2003
(SP2) document via email messes up the page numbering in the Table of
Contents. When the document is opened and viewed by the recipient, all
entries in the TOC after the third one have the same page number. If the
document is saved (from the email message) and then opened, it seems to be
OK. It does not always seem to affect all users or all documents, but it does
seem to affect all documents emailled from a particular PC.

Any ideas what causes this and how to prevent it?

Thanks
- Adam

This is caused by the Reading Layout view. Ask the recipient to clear
the "Allow starting in Reading Layout" option in Tools | Options,
General tab.
