Is there a way to have a numbered list count down rather than up? FOr example
starting at 10 then working to 1.

Use the following field construction

{ = 11 - { SEQ down }}

I am a very novice user. I am not sure what you mean by field construction.
Would I somehow change something under the 'ormat bullets and numbers' menu?

Hi medic_taz,

To create Doug's field, press Ctrl-F9 twice, to create a pair of field braces. These will look like '{ { } }'. Then fill them in
with the coding Doug suggested.

If you then select the field and press F9, the field will update and you'll see '10'. If you then make 9 copies of the field, then
select them all and press F9 (or select them one at a time in sequence and press F9), you'll end up with your reverse numbering
sequence, from 10 to 0.

Cheers
