Hi,
I have a user that has a large document and has setup in the header the page
numbering option.
In two different places in the document, she wants to be able to have a page
number remain the same for  the following page but with an a added to it.
For ex: Page 124 and 124a
When she does it manually for that one page, then the following pages
numbers do not go back to let say 125 then 126 and so on.
Is this at all possible to insert an odd page number like this and not
affect the rest of the document?

Not really. You'll have to restart numbering manually in the new section,
and it will have to either be calculated based on a PAGEREF to the last
whole page number (in which case it won't be right in the TOC, if any) or
set manually in Format Page Number (and reset if the pagination changes).

Thanks!
I see there is no quick easy way of doing it.
Thanks anyway.
