in several docs, when I try to add page numbers in W 1007, all pages
wind up being page 1.  I can use older versions, or openoffice, etc.,
and it all works.  Currently I do that, switch to an old version,
number the pages (normally in the footer), then switch back.  If I try
to number the pages in W 2007, I get all ones.  foo.  Thanks

There is probably a problem with the Building Blocks.dotx template. Try
renaming it, with Word closed. (A fresh copy will be regenerated when you
re-open Word.) Does that fix the problem?
