Grr! Word is so "unfriendly" when it comes to formatting!
I can't seem to maintain a hanging indent within a
numbered list. Everything after the first number with
text is fine, but when I try to get #1 in the list to
maintain the blocked indent to the right as the text
wraps is not happening. I've gone into formatting,
styles, numbers, and still cannot manage to get this to
happen. I do not want the wrap and block underneath the
number; I want it to wrap and block beneath the tabbed
text to the right of the list number.

In WP, there's a command, ctrl-tab or shift-tab, that
maintains the blocked character of the text the right of
the list number as the text wraps. Is there no such
function in Word?

How this program became the top-selling office software
with these kinds of problems is beyond me, but I would
really appreciate some help if available.

Thanks,
R

Hanging indents in numbered styles must be set in the Numbering dialog, not
in Format Paragraph.
