My document contains multiple "sections" and I have
successfully setup the pg numbering in each section to
print in "section-page" format (e.g., first page in
section one prints "1-1"; second page "1-2", first page
in section two as "2-1", etc. I desire the TOC to show
this same "1-1", "1-2", "2-1" pg numbering. I've tried,
tried, tried, but cannot make the TOC do this! Does
anyone know how?

The TOC will do this automatically if you have used the "Include chapter
number" feature of page numbering (see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Numbering/ChapterNumber.htm). Otherwise not.

If you have set up the page numbers in the header or
footer using the page number format buttons to
automatically insert the section number and page number,
they should automatically show up in the TOC that way. My
guess is that you have "hard typed" the section number.
You have to use a heading style (i.e. Heading 1) and set
the numbering to automatically number each heading. You
can set the font to hidden to make it nonviewable. This
allows you to control the section/chapter number and to be
able to use it in the header/footer.
