First let me say - Arghh!!!!

I create a style based on a list.  However I am unable to apply it to any
text.  :(  I followed the instructions for creating a style.

Why?  Can this be fixed?

Is the list autonumbered? If so, you've run into Word's numbering problems.

Which version of Word are you using?

Thanks - loved the article.  The style that I was trying to create was for a
simple numbered list so the article did not quite solve the problem.  (It
did however help me with the outline and headings I am using).

I am deleted the style I created and  plan to start over.  Is there a
similar article for a simple ordered list?  I am using Windows XP.
