This is a common problem being experience by a significant amount of people.
I have contacted microsoft, and so has one of the MVPs for this newsgroup.
They told me to reinstall Office XP to fix the problem, which may or may not
work for you. It did seem to work on the one machine I've tried it on so
far. The microsoft tech is supposedly trying to escalate the issue, but
I'll have to wait and see if they follow up with me. In the meantime,
please see various posts from last week for more information.

Thanks, Brian.
How does reinstallation leave the system?
Does this mean repatching? And if so how do I avoid
the 'problem' patch?
