Hi everyone,

I have an issue with a subdocument's chapter:page
numbering.  This document is very old.  Probably created
in Office 95.  I am working with a client that is updating
it in Office XP.  The problem is:

1.  The footer contains a field for the page numbering.
The numbering has the properties set up to include the
chapter number by looking at the Heading 1 style.
Everything is set up correctly, but this particular footer
will not pick up the correct numbering process.  It is
picking up the page number, but not the chapter number.
Has anyone else seen this with their large Master/Sub
documents?  If so, how the can I fix the problem.  I have
tried to delete and recreate and that isn't working
either.  Please help.

fyi-  We fixed it.  We just had to reapply the style!
Don't we feel crazy!  Thanks for at least looking!
