I would like to do the following:
Print Screen: #1
Text Document: #1
Print Screen: #2
Text Document: #2
How do I get Word to do two lists of sequential numbers
that are independent of each other? Styles don't work as
they put the number at the beginning of the text, not at
the end as needed. Autonum only works for one set of
numbers, not two.

Hi m,
2 options:
1) If the part preceding the number is static (Always "Print Screen: #" or
"Text Document: #") you can use styles. Just include the static text as
part of the numbering scheme when you set it up:
Format;
Styles and Formatting...;
Create new style;
Get tot the Bullets and numbering dialog from the New style dialog;
Choose "Numbering";
Click on "Customize";
At the top, where the number for the style numbering level is displayed,
type the static text just before the number in a grey background;
Set the Indent, Tab and number position from the Numbering dialog;
Finish setting up your style (Other paragraph or font attributes...).
or
2)
Use SEQ fields.

What you need here is SEQ fields (which see in Word's Help). Create a
different sequence for each list. Note that SEQ fields do not update
automatically; you have to select them and F9. Alternatively, depending on
how you're using them, what you want may be a Caption (Insert | Caption or
Insert | Reference | Caption). You can create custom labels (such as "Print
Screen: #"), and Word keeps track of the numbering.
