Hi peeps,
Yep it's me again. lol . Ok I found out to change
the numbers into Roman numerals and stuff, when using page
X of Y. It works fine and everything (email me if you need
it) but...yep there's a but...I would like to know if
there is an easier way. Some of the students get confused
the way I'm doing it (using alt+F9, then changing the
code). I would like to know if there is another possible
way to change the numbers into roman numerals...so that
the students can do there courses correctly with out us
trying to explain how to do it and then confusing them
even more by using the code. Thanks for all your help in
advance...Luv Mike xxxXXXxxx

Your students will be better off if you teach them how to use and understand
field codes.  Perhaps try explaining with a comparison to formulas in Excel?
Also, tell them such / * codes are called Switches, and that both Switches
and Fields will produce more info in Help.

Nevertheless, you can format fields via the Insert | Field dialog.  If you
select a field and click on Options, it will explain the options and then
add the switch for you.  In my version NUMPAGES is under Document
Information, not numbering.  I doubt your students will find this less
confusing or easier to remember, but I could be wrong.
