Word 2003, large document using Outline Numbering.

I've read
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html and
I've been really careful to follow the rules on Modifying Heading 1 in
order to modify others. At least I thought I had been.

Now, when I click on a Heading 1 paragraph, and choose Modify and then
choose Numbering, I get the Bullets and Numbering dialog box (Outline
Numbered Tab) with 4 out of the 8 boxes/options looking very similar
to how my outline numbering looks. And I don't recall the one that is
currently selected being the one I started out with (position-wise).

Can I just keep using the one that is currently selected and reset the
other three? Or am I in trouble now?

Thanks,
Keith

Always go with the one that is currently selected. Ignore or Reset the rest.
Once you get into the Customize dialog, you can select the level you
actually want to modify.
