How do I split a page in two pages?

In WordPerfect I'm used to splitting a landscape page in two pages, one left
and one right page with each their page number. I can't find a similar
function in Word.

In Word 2000 and above, use the "2 pages per sheet" option in Page Setup
(location varies by version).
