End-of-line problem in pasted documents

When a document pasted into Word has shorter "end-of-line" positions then
normal, I use the backspace key at the beginning of each line to utilise the
full width of the Word document. This is very time-consuming. Does anyone
know of a quicker formatting method which could be used?
