I have a document that has the header at the left side of a page and I would
like to do that on another document...but how?
I obviously didn't create the first doc and cant ask the creator...
Any ideas..

If this is a landscape pages, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/LandscapeSection.htm. If you just want
a part of the header that runs down the side of the page, see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/AnchorToHeader.htm

While the cursor is in the regular header area at the top of the page,
insert a text box or a frame extending down the left side. Put your "header"
text in there, and set the text wrapping of the box to push the document's
body text to the right. Look at the "More complex letterhead" section of
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Letterhead.htm and
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/AnchorToHeader.htm for examples.
