I have a word document that i would like to put on a web page. How do i
convert it to a PDF file?

You need third party software capable of producing PDF output - Adobe
Acrobat or one of the cheaper clones eg PrimoPDF

A free MS Add-In is available for Word 2007. Install it and you'll be able
to save your documents as PDFs.
