Unchecking "Allow...Reading Layout" does not stick!

Hello everyone,

I have unchecked "Allow starting in Reading Layout" in Words option tab and
clicked OK over and over and over again, but it always reverts back to
opening in Reading Layout after I restart. Anyone having this problem or
have an idea of how to uncheck the box permanently? I will be very happy to
never see reading layout again!

Perhaps your settings are not being saved? See
