Hi Guys,

Has anyone else experienced the Car1 style taking over in the styles
box? It keeps appearing in Word and I cant seem to get rid of it. You
will know if you have experienced it as it is quite annoying.

I have searched around and found nothing on this problem.

Is there anyone out there who knows what I am talking about cos I
think Im going mad? an MVP?

Thanks :-)

James

This is from a response to what I imagine is the same question as yours

See:

Text that was formatted with a paragraph style is formatted with a
character style when you paste the text to another document in Word
2003 or in Word 2002

A macro solution is suggested at
http://homepage.hispeed.ch/cindymeister/MyFavTip.htm#CharStyl.

Note that it might be easier to recreate the template from a fresh
blank file. Make sure to apply paragraph styles to entire paragraphs
(not to selected parts of a paragraph).
