hi,

I can't find anything in the documentation about what it means to set the
before/after line spacing to "auto" - it's certainly not the same as 0 which
is the default value.

with word 2003 on a test document, the "styles" pane reports "before:5pt;
after:5pt" regardless of the font size, but the "reveal style" pane just
shows "line spacing before:auto; after:auto".

the help manual just says to enter the value and doesn't describe what auto
means at all

I think Auto applies the spacing that would be used by HTML in Web pages. I
avoid it for documents.
