Does anybody know how to get long excel table to generate multiple pages when
the object is imported into word. Opening single xls files/page is okay, but
I have a problems with a 800 line table!

Ain't gonna happen if you insist on pasting/inserting it as an Excel Object
- OLE objects cannot span a page break.
Copy the content in Excel & in Word you can then either;
A) Paste to get a Word Table that will go on for as many pages as necessary,
or
B) Use Edit> Paste Special - Unformatted Text to get a Tabular List.
The only other option I know is to copy & paste one segment of the Excel
file at a time as separate objects in the doc [not my favorite choice :-)].

Bob - thanks, went down the copy/paste route in the end and it worked well.
Just need to do it each time I update the excel doc.
