paragraph spacing

return key starts a new paragraph more than halfway down the page. line
spacing is ok. paragraph settings appear to be normal.

In Word 2003 or earlier, click on File | Page Setup | Layout tab |
Vertical alignment: Top | Default | Yes | OK.  If you are prompted to
save changes to your Normal.dot global template when you exit Word, say yes.

In Word 2007, the only difference is how to access the Page Setup dialog
box: Click Page Layout on the ribbon, then click the dialog box launcher
button in the Page Setup group.
