Hi!  I'm not too familiar with Word.  I'm trying to design
a newsletter.  I downloaded a template off the Microsoft
web site.  First, let me say before I designed newsletters
by using a header with two columns on the page.  With the
template I downloaded, they use text boxes.  I don't
understand them too well, but I will admit is is an easy
way to insert text.  However, I want to insert graphics.
When I go to "Insert > Picture > From File" and insert by
photo, I can't see the photo.

I'm sure it is because the text is formatted.  So, when I
go to "clear formatting" I can see my photo.  Almost there!

However, I want to wrap text around the photo.  When I
right-click on the photo to "format picture", I hit
the "layout" tab, I can not change the wrapping style.

I did some research and it seems like one can not change
the wrapping style if the graphic is in a text box.  Well,
I want it in a text box!  Any suggestions?  Basically, in
a nutshell, the Newsletter template is made with text
boxes and I want to drop in graphics here and there.

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Instead of putting your picture into the text box, try putting it on the
page so that it floats over the text box. With the judicious use of layout
settings for both the picture and the text box, you should still be able to
have your text wrap around a picture that appears in the right place.

Cheers
