I converted a document from PDF to DOC. It lost a lot of formatting.
The most pervasive problem is the Header and/or Footer is missing on
most every page, except for a few. I've found hidden text boxes which
are now gone, but the only other thing I see is that some pages have
different Header and/or Footer sizes. And the problem skips; I create
the Header/Footer on pg.1 and they are missing on pgs. 3, 6 and 10
through the end of document. I've tried to copy the contents of the
document to a new document, but it brought the problem along with it.
Does someone know what the problem is and how I can get the Header/
Footer section back to a clean state?

For a start, find and remove unnecessary section breaks. Then link all the
remaining section headers/footers to one that has the required data. Look
out for "Different first page" and "Different odd and even" settings. See
