Alternative text

I would like to devlop a Word template that offers the user some alternative
(one out of two possibilities) text to select, the result being that the
unwanted text doesn't show up in the document.  The user must select one of
these, not both and not no text.  Any ideas on how to do this?

You could use AutoTextList fields. See:
