>Is there any way to insert other than Quick Parts/Document Properties/Publish
>Date?
If you don't see the Developer tab on the ribbon, click the Office
button > Word Options > Popular and check "Show Developer tab".
On the Developer ribbon you'll see eight icons on the left side of the
Controls group. Click the one whose tooltip says Date Picker. That
inserts a "content control" that says "Click here to enter a date".
Click the down arrow on the right end of the control to open the
calendar.
When the date picker is selected, you can click the Properties button
in the Developer ribbon and set the date format and other properties.
