How do i add check boxes to my letters or forms

I used to be able to add little check boxes to letters or forms i created i
cannot find that feature with this new version of Windows

New version of Windows? Do you mean the new version of Word?

Click the Office button (upper left corner -- it's the Office logo), then
Word Options, Popular. Make sure that Show Developer tab in the Ribbon is
checked.

Click the Developer tab. The check box can be found in the Legacy Tools set
(in the Controls section), under Legacy Forms.
