MS Office Forum / Word / Page Layout / April 2008Word 2007 numbered lists
I would like to create two styles for numbered lists, both with custom indents, etc., different from Word's defaults. Style1 would begin a list with "1". Style2 would continue the list with 2, 3, etc. It seems to be impossible in Word 2007. And even taking a list style and changing the "start with" setting directly changes the paragraph formatting. This should be simple, but it's not. A numbered list should begin with 1 and increment from there. If you really need different styles for the first and subsequent items, there may be another way to accomplish this. What are you trying to do?  SignatureSuzanne S.
