I have created a document in Microsoft Word and set the
page width at 5" and length at 7".  I would like to print
the document on a 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper and have it
centered on the paper.  But when I print the document it
is always aligned at the top.  I tried accessing the page
layout tab and changing the vertical alignment to
centered, but it still prints at the top of the page.
When I accessed Microsoft Help it indicated that Microsoft
Word always aligns partial pages at the top of a page, so
I'm assuming that Word thinks my document is a partial
page.

My document is over 50 pages of 5" x 7" text.  I tried
reconfiguring the margins as if my document was originally
8 1/2" x 11", but my page count shifted because words
began to wrap onto different pages.  Would anyone be able
to tell me how I can center my text without reconfiguring
my margins?  Is there a way to tell word that I would like
to center my document which is considered a partial page?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  I am working
on a deadline.  Thank you very much.

Hi Mary,

You can't do it that way.  You will have to set the page dimensions to 8.5 x
11 and set the margins so that the text appears where you want it to.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
