I have a read only texted document that I scanned and saved into word (OCR, Rich Text).  I am having trouble typing text into the texted area of that document, because of tabs that are automatically set.  Also when the document was saved into Word it did not come the same as when it was printed (hyphens, underlines and columns in the document did not come out the same).  How do I eliminate the automatically set tabs and realine the columns?

See http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/SettingTabs.htm. Note that you
can clear all tabs from the Tabs dialog, but this is not necessary because
any tab you set clears all the automatic tabs to the left of it.
